Confirmed from Chinquapin Park & Forest Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Chinquapin Park & Forest Park
Sweet little patch of semi-wild green space. There is a walking path that begins in the field of Chinquapin Pool and follows Taylor Run. Makes for a lovely little urban hike of about 1/2 mile down then back again.
Beautiful trail with interpretive signs along the way, nestled in a neighborhood. Had a fruitful experience birding here, but I also enjoyed learning about the history of the area. It was not overly crowded on a Sunday late morning/early afternoon.
We were in this park with my family and it's nice for a short walk , also there is a small playground and picnic area, when you are coming in the king st ,you see the high school and enter there , is right behind the school.
Great green space in the middle of Alexandria. Tucked behind TC Williams High School. Swings, slides, jungle gym, and nice trails through a small forest.
