Confirmed from Tide Lock Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil waterside spot with views and a pathway popular with walkers and runners.
What runners say about Tide Lock Park
“Great views, including the Capitol building and the Washington Monument.”
“Peaceful and great walk alongside the Potomac river.”
I really liked this park. It's very nice and relaxing place. Many people playing volleyball. Others jogging with their pets. Sometimes parkour people is around too. Take your time in this place, is very comfortable.
Great waterfront walking trail. Good for strollers. Not too many bikers, mostly people walking. Can be breezy. Lots of planes going overhead. Watched an air show from here one time and it was 👌🏻, made my day.
Excellent for a short 3 mile run along the water. Most of it is gravel and it's course is very squiggly butplenty of signage so you stay on track. Take full advantage of this quiet beauty.
Excellent place to take your dog for a walk or go for a quick run. The view is amazing during sun set . Take your kids even your significant other for a romantic walk by water.

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
