Confirmed from City of Shelby Hanna Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about City of Shelby Hanna Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (232 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

“My family and I moved to NC not to long ago, as a mom of 2 toddlers (2year old, 4 year old) finding a clean, quiet, up-kept park is very important.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Well we didn't go on the hiking trails personally, the ones that did said that there were well maintained and very beautiful.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Great park super clean and for all ages my kids loved it”

Great place for picnics, just to walk through the trails, enjoy the covered picnic areas. They also have baseball fields for Little League.

★★★★★ — Darius , Dec 2024

Just beautiful! And very clean, both the playground and walking trails.

★★★★★ — Hanna , Apr 2023

Really nice park, rubber play ground floors, different sizes of equipment for different ages and plenty of field space to run. There's a pretty wooded trail to walk also. Difficult for bikes with training wheels.

★★★★★ — Sam , Jan 2020

This is a beautiful soccer field! The walking trails are lovely. I just wish they sold coffee at the concession stand.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 5 mentions

“You could play at the playground play on the field grab a snack walk the trail and the restrooms are clean and there are about 10 of them”
