Confirmed from Clegg Memorial Garden's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Parking is across the street and it is up in a hilly area, but it seems pretty quiet area and secluded.”

Another exceptional nature area in Lafayette! My Son and I went walking on the trails...did 3.5 miles! It's so pretty! From the main building, if you take the trails to the "right," you'll be on what I call the upper trails. Very well kept, packed dirt trails, with lots of scenic Vista stops.

Great trails! Sections with clear path and sections to go off path (ravine area). Some parts lead to the Wildcat Creek. Benches & overlooks. Well maintained, usually pretty quiet. Small parking lot across the road. Overlooks the Wildcat and is beautiful in the fall especially

Once I went there in the afternoon. Some days later I went in the morning after a snowfall. The Garden looked great with sunshine over the snow. Glad I decided to go on the hiking trip a second time in the morning. Going to visit again when there will be flowers.

Gorgeous this time of year! This was my first visit, found it while looking for a stop on my way home to Chicago from Indy. Lots of stairs, so keep that in mind, otherwise easy "hiking". Many benches available to sit and rest. Wonderful views of creek.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
