Confirmed from Cobbs Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded park along Cobbs Creek featuring a playground, picnic tables & walking paths.
What runners say about Cobbs Creek Park
“A well maintained shaded park with picnic areas and toddler and big kid playgrounds plus basketball courts and plenty of parking.”
“Beautiful park to run or walk along the paved trail, play tennis, or enjoy a picnic with family and friends.”
“Great place to run ride bikes, walk dogs, etc.”
Recommended to visit here and it didn’t disappoint. Spent three hours on the trails and didn’t see another human, which was great! The paved trail is perfect for biking while the unpaved trails offer chances to explore. Numerous types of wildlife can be found when being mindful and observant including deer.
Great space with even greater potential. I love playing tennis here or just watching the passers-by. ... AND THE DEER seem to come through almost every day. They usually show in pairs but sometimes there'll be 5 or more. Doe and fawn.
Cobbs Creek is slowly developing into a city best neighborhood. The overhaul of the parks to the addition of trails and over all scenery is amazing. With the continuous development of our community, it has been a great site to see in my 40 years here!
starting at 63rd & Market and ending at Island & Woodland Aves, the 8 mile(ish) stretch of paved path provides plenty of space for walking, running, biking riding etc.

“I feel very optimistic about its future appeal, even while the site desperately needs real restrooms and water fountains for the joggers, tennis and ball players.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
