Confirmed from Cochran Shoals Trail - River Loop's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverside park featuring a mix of trails for hiking and biking, plus picnic space.

Love to come here after work to walk, meditate by the river or even rent a bike to go for a ride. The Trail is easy with low moderate incline depending on the route you take.
Beautiful place, walking along the river allows us to observe several birds, especially the ducks, which are very beautiful. A very family-friendly environment, decent and friendly people. I have been back 4 times and would definitely go back.
Nice morning run (3.2) miles. Place can get crowded at times but plenty of space. Does connect to various paths for hiking though if you want. Also it has spots to get into the Chattahoochee river along the main trail
The trail here is beautiful especially during the fall, especially with it right next to the river. It wasn’t too crowded even around 5 pm which is the time I was assuming a lot of people would be there. I love to come here for either a way or a short jog.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
