Confirmed from Coffee Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Coffee Creek Park

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Pretty and peaceful for a quick, peaceful walk.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Always in need of some TLC, but still a great park for kids of all ages and families.”

Love this little park. It has a nice wooden platform walk winding along the river. I've seen finches, canaries, orioles, cardinals, fish, crawfish, turtles, snakes, dragonflies, butterflies and other insect life. There is a competition horseshoe area, a playground, a dog run, picnic areas, etc...

Really enjoyed the well cared for trails and beauty of this place. A perfect place for a nice stroll or full hike. A lovely pavilion with picnic tables and a nearby restroom. Very tranquil, looking forward to going back again.

I love this park. The walking trail is so beautiful it feels so secluded. We usually bring lunch and eat there by the water. They have 2 picnic tables there..

Nice little park about an hour from Chicago. We stopped because our daughter needed a break from the car, and this was perfect for that. There's a wooden trail along a creek that eventually leads to a children's play structure.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 5 mentions

“Recent and frequent vandalism of late has ruined a platform overlooking the river by the playground and railings along the path but it is still a nice place to take a walk.”
