Confirmed from Cofrin Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Forested area with a half-mile hiking trail & wetlands fed by Beville Heights Creek.
What runners say about Cofrin Nature Park
“Also has a half mile trail loop that is well kept.”
“Beautiful park with a small trail and swings for the kids.”
“It has a shaded playground, a pleasant shaded walking path, several picnic benches, and simple restrooms.”
The nature trail was shorter than I expected but still an enjoyable, and thankfully shaded walk. Although, I wish I had seen more of the creek since the entry to the nature trail appears to be the only place to do so. The memorial garden for suicide survivors was also a thoughtful touch.
Beautiful park with a small trail and swings for the kids. It also has parking lot and a clean toilet.
Perfect trail for pets, kids, and anyone looking for a relaxed stroll. The playground is covered (at least mostly) and great for preschoolers and up. PLUS, the water fountain is cold. Big plus.
Nice short little trail. Perfect for little kids that can't walk very far on their own. It is a little rooty so watch your step. There is even a little bridge to watch the stream.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
