We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Colorado River Refuge, River Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Colorado River Refuge, River Trailhead
Great trailhead overall, easy access right next to the river with some really nice views along the way. The trail is moderate and a good mix of walking paths with a few tougher spots like the tire steps, which actually makes it more fun.
Nicely formed trails for a mild hiking experience. Lots of nature, birds, speedy lizards, and deer. Mostly shaded, so didn't get to hot. Highly recommend.
