Confirmed from Communications Hill's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood hiking area providing uphill and downhill trails that offer views.
What runners say about Communications Hill
“Peaceful neighborhood with beautiful views and good for walking!”
Excellent place to get a workout! If you like walking stats, it has 250 of’ em spread over two sections. Try running those 5 times! If you prefer walking on a hill, they have a bigger looping sidewalk that goes adding both sides of the stairs. Several places to stop and do burpees, pushups, squats, whatever.
This place is beautiful at night. I’ve come here to run the staircase or watch the sunset. Parking is limited.
This is a nice neighborhood with upscale homes and parks. From here the view of San Jose is great. The name "Communications Hill" doesn't sound like a name for a residential area. But this being Silicon Valley, I guess it's not that surprising.
Nice neighborhood for evening walk. Stairs are popular if you want to increase the difficulty level of trail, otherwise trail loops around hill which is uphill and downhill so moderate hiking.
