Confirmed from Conrad & Viola McGrew Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Conrad & Viola McGrew Nature Preserve
This is a nice "into the woods" feel within the city limits. Some really good spots for pictures too. Used this bridge for some lovely frameable shots of my children. We will definitely be going back to explore more of this trail. The only hang up I have of this is access to the actual trail!!
Love to walk this path before picking my son up from school. Have seen owls and all sorts of other birds and one really large black (rat) snake and several water snakes. There is also a mad looking cat. Lots to see on this short walk. I see that someone else also finds this trail hard to locate.
been pretty much the same for 20+ years, the crossings are different, and so are the women who run there, but it's a juvenile memory for me that is largely the same, easy path, fewer hooligan children
Beautiful trail tucked in a neighborhood. Well maintained. Walkers and dog walkers all respectful of space and each other.
Trail conditions & character
“We found that parking at Quail Run School, and walking down the street to one of the openings of this trail was our best option.”
