Confirmed from Naismith Valley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
25-acre park consisting of prairie grassland & trees that are home to many types of birds.
What runners say about Naismith Valley Park
“Beautiful and serene, has nice variety of pathways that actually take you to useful places.”
“I had to park in the neighboring neighborhood and walk my dogs to the park.”
27th St to Missouri St fork or the 31st St fork are under construction at the moment (supposedly until Nov. 2022). A nice walking path with wide paved trail which winds gently through semi-wooded area.
In the valley so low ,in the valley so high it's a pleasure to walk and talk the foliage so bright and niegh.
Running trail was great for my pup and the other runners/walkers were very friendly.
A nice quiet place to take a walk and speak freely. To God or otherwise.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
