Confirmed from Coopersmith Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Well maintained, nice play area for kids, large pavilion picnic area and scattered picnic tables. Nice walking trail with large shade trees. Dogs are allowed and there are pet waste stations provided. People keep their pets leashed and everyone is pretty friendly.

Nicely maintained pretty park with playground for the kids, picnic tables, pavilion, paved and well maintained path for walking and running, and easy access to Goshen Terrace Nature Trail (not as well maintained as the park) if you want a walk in the woods.

This was a nice little park. There was a play area for children, asphalt walking/running paths (some people were walking dogs and they were all on lead and we'll controlled) covered pavillion, clean bathrooms at the pavillion, as well as an innovative outdoor music area with chimes/hanging xylophone, drums, and a…

An adorable little mini-park sandwiched between three or four neighborhoods and a quiet apartment complex. There's one long paved and gravel trail that cuts through the whole thing from the entrance to a neighborhood, and a few dirt ones that cross the stream and go into the woods on the other side and the apartments.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Coopersmith Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
