I did this hike mid December, and it was beautiful. There were horses, people walking dogs, and bikers but I only saw about one of each. It wasn’t very crowded at all. Loved the trails that led to the river. Loved seeing the cotton woods. The views of the Sandia’s are nice as well.
Walking and hiking trails along the Rio Grande river. Very scenic and most of the area is kept in its natural state. If you enjoy nature this a great place to enjoy the outdoors.

I've always loved these trails. You can find shady trails, straight or curvy trails, flat or sandy trails. Great views and access to the river
