Confirmed from Corinth Contraband Camp's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring statues and a trail, as well as information about the Civil War.
What runners say about Corinth Contraband Camp
“Beautiful setting with well done statues of contraband camp life.”
An interesting and historic park to visit. It's nice to walk the track and read the plaques by each statue to learn the history of the park.
The Contraband Camp offers a brief look at the history of acquired former slaves' lives after the Union Army seized Corinth. Unfortunately there are no log cabins resembling the ones the 6,000 newly freed men and women lived in, but the clearing and walking path allow for reflection.
This is great piece of history to explore on this short walk around campground. Great tourist spot to visit.
Loved this place. Nothing but trees, historic monuments, and a walking trail. Perfect for a quiet time.
