Confirmed from Covell Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Long stretch of greenway is great for waking dogs, jogging, playing”

Greenbelt trail weaves through a beautiful neighborhood with large shade trees, passing by playgrounds and a soccer field. It’s a calming and peaceful walk, especially on weekday evenings. Great for kids, dogs, bike rides. Note: Julie Partansky Pond was dried out in July.

I usually just walk through here on the bike paths, but there's an awesome, funky park, a more traditional park, a tennis court and ample lawn for group sports, picnics, etc... The greenbelts are one of the saving graces of Davis, which was not laid out to support the population that UC Davis has drawn over the years.

★★★★★ — Jonathan , Mar 2016

Lovely greenbelt with a meandering bicycle path looping through. Ponds, art sculptures, exercise equipment, interpretive nature paths, numerous playgrounds and mature landscaping. The big loop is my favorite 30 minute zen.

★★★★★ — Rose , Mar 2019

Nice small "hole in the wall" park. Geared more for older kids, not toddlers as they may not be able to play on the jungle gym. Plenty of grass to play in, and sidewalks to run or ride on.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
