Confirmed from Northstar Park Pond's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Northstar Park Pond

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (102 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Beautiful and large park with a pond and trees, birdwatching and playground.”

🌲🌻🌳🌺 Beautiful and peaceful. Spacious walking paths/bike trails. Playground and huge soccer field ⚽️

★★★★★ — Angie , Jul 2019

Nothstar Park is a wonderful place to hang out. There is a playground for children, a pond, soccer fields, plenty of bikepaths, and all sorts of wildlife to watch. If you live in the neighborhood, you will undoubtedly run into someone you know.

★★★★★ — Stewart , Jun 2019

The smaller pond stinks and the cattails are so thick you can't make out the island. The algae is so dense that the Red-earred Sliders (turtles) and frogs can walk on it and sun themselves. The rest of the park is a great destination.

★★★★☆ — Yvonne , Apr 2022

This park is nice to walk through. There is a deck that over looks water during the rainy months. I often visit this park at night to visit Blackberry, the mysterious cuddle time kitty. She will cuddle in your lap if you sit in the bench at the end of the Deck.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
