Confirmed from CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

So many great Trails here. My favorite is when I start off and stay to the right along the canal heading north. There is so much wildlife to see in a beautiful and quiet setting. I saw Gators, deer very large Turtles and many birds as well as other life flourishing there.

★★★★★ — Craig , Mar 2023

It was great. I introduced a friend to the red trail today and it did not disappoint. We saw 3 deer, plenty of birds and had a great hike. The trail is well maintained and the added benches for viewing nature and resting is an added bonus.

★★★★★ — Erin , Mar 2022

Beautiful trails - great place to see gators, birds, snakes and other wildlife. Keep your dogs close, there are rattlesnakes and Cottonmouths. I’ve seen a 5 to 6 foot Eastern diamondback and even a rare Coral snake!

★★★★★ — Peter , Mar 2021

Nice set of trails, interconnected so you can really get some mileage! Lots of wildlife, gators galore!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
