Confirmed from Crismon Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Crismon Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (6 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This is the best running place other than Hawes trail in east Mesa! I almost don’t want to give a review cuz it’s not that busy here but both on google maps and Strava are a good overview of the trails and I’ve done as little as 3 or as much as 10, and honestly you can do way more than that by running up to pass…

Great local spot. Some weekends there's a volunteer at the gate but most days it's open. The trail in the wash area is loose sand but it evens out about a mile in. You can make this a loop or you can take it straight to the mountain in the park.

★★★★☆ — Josh , Jun 2023

Plenty of trail to run, bike, walk, walk your dog. $5 fee or annual pass. Up from the other reviewers $2 fee. Parking for about 20 cars.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
