Confirmed from Crockett to Dexter Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Crockett to Dexter Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (9 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

I jog this trail several times a month. I met a local neighbor who was trimming back the brush, and he told me that the Parks Department has decided to no longer weed-eat the trail, so a local group of neighbors are doing the maintenance a couple of times per year.

June 2025 - Flowers are in bloom on the trail: White, Pink and Purple Foxglove, and red Herb Robert! Summer 2023 - I've used my mountain bike on this trail, and its a great shortcut to Westlake area! Spread the word to our fellow mountain bikers.

It was a good trail. The scene was okay as we went in the winter. We saw some plants too not sure if they were for people or not. But if it's for the people who love plants and take it home then it was the best treat.

I love running down (and up when I'm feeling the urge for hill training) this trail! It's a great connection between the bustling Aurora Ave and the serene Queen Anne neighborhood. Very happy to see it maintained!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
