Confirmed from Cross Creek Park Hiking Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Cross Creek Park Hiking Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (28 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“This isn’t a high traffic area so it’s quiet and peaceful immersion into the woods.”

Paved walking trail, but was all ice during our visit. There's a lake nearby, but you need to bushwhack to get there. It's a missed opportunity not to have a path leading to at least a viewing area overlooking the lake.

Very nice trail with some steep hills. Not a bunch of shade so be aware on hot days. Sometimes the trail gets over grown and some of the trail gets washed out but it's very nice and needed for the area. The county can do a much better job taking care of it that's for sure.

Perfect quick but not too easy hike! 2.8 mile loop with some steep hills at points. The path is gravel so you’re not actually “in the woods” typical hiking but there are nice tall trees all around and views to look at the whole time. Sorta reminded me of Jurassic park at points.

Found this trail on Google Maps. Seems it is new. Surface is gravel. Well maintained. The trail though is not for the average person. Has 7,8 and 10% grade hills and is a good work out. Wear hiking boots, tennis shoes would work but my ankles needed more support. Bathroom seems brand new, very clean.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
