Confirmed from Crossings Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“It's a beautiful out of the way park that we just love walking our dogs in.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Small playground in the shade.”

This sports complex has baseball fields, mountain bike trails, basketball court, a playground, skate park, and soccer fields. All amenities are nice, well-kept, and clean. My husband mountain bikes practically every day back home, and he found the mountain bike trail here interesting and fun.

I'm always looking for places to park the camper van when I go biking. A place that I think is safe and I can leave my dogs in the security of my cool camper van. I found this actually by accident.

★★★★☆ — Stacey , Feb 2025

Playground for the kids. Picnic tables for the adults to sit as well as benches. There's also several baseball fields soccer fields and a skate park. There's also still a couple of mountain bike trails in the woods leftover from before Crossings park and the cross island expressway were built.

★★★★★ — Matt , Feb 2018

This Park is great for Mtn biking, hiking and walking. The crossings park is also accessible for kids whether they are hiking or biking. Also you will frequent birdwatchers checking out the wildlife. When connecting all loops you can clock 3-4 miles. I like to call it the Forrest because of the tree density.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
