Confirmed from Fish Island Sea Pines Forest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring lots of trails, alligators and other wildlife.

Start here for the forest reserve trails. (Google maps is confusing about this, and the people at the gate and the road signage .) $9 at the gate. Credit cards accepted. I walked the whole thing in about 2 hours at a leisurely pace, plus Lake Joe/ Shell Ring/ South Lake loop & the short Vanishing Swamp boardwalk trail.
Beautiful place for good and easy walks in contact with nature, for all ages, even by bicycle. This place transmits peace and harmony. You'll also see lots of wildlife and you can even fish. You definitely have to visit it if you are in the area. $9 entry. Bathrooms and parking are available.
Visited on a sunny Wednesday evening in March with a group of friends. Highly recommend checking this area out for some quiet time in God’s beautiful creation. There is no shortage of trails or wildlife sightings at this forest preserve. We saw a variety of birds, turtles, snakes, and alligators.
You must pay $9 at the guard gate. Finding where to start was challenging since we didn't have much time. We ended up doing the driving route. Unfortunately we didn't see much wildlife but the preserve was beautiful. You could easily spend hours here.
