Confirmed from Crossroads District Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational area with a playground, basketball and volleyball courts, baseball fields, and dog park.
What runners say about Crossroads District Park
“Having such a versatile and well-kept park in the heart of Gilbert is a testament to the town’s commitment to providing quality recreational spaces for residents of all ages.”
“The pristine condition of the field, combined with the stunning surroundings, created an atmosphere that was both exhilarating and motivating for our staff.”
As the owner of Ciphers Digital Marketing and a longtime supporter of the Gilbert Community, I love seeing local parks like Crossroads Park bringing the community together. From soccer fields to the skate park and scenic walking trails, Crossroads Park offers something for everyone.
Recent updates: A patron of the park has donated rakes and scoops! Thank you for the donation! Most of the park lacks shade, especially in the afternoon. Unless the grass gets proper watering before the sun comes up, it will be sure to brown in the hottest months.
If sports is your thing, then this is the go to park for you. The park had lots of baseball fields, a huge grassy field for playing soccer through with a concrete sidewalk passed through midway, a volleyball and basketball court that are alongside said sidewalk- followed by the other other half of a huge soccer…
Wow this place is huge. This park offers some of the best amenities in the area. Specifically, we regularly visit the baseball fields for Little League games. The park provides a concession stand right next to the ice arena.
Trail conditions & character
“Does have a smaller covered playground, dog park, and lots of field space for soccer, flag football and baseball.”
“There's most certainly adequate parking but it is a bit of a hike from the parking lot to the fields themselves so it can be a little tricky if you have a little kids.”
“The pristine condition of the field, combined with the stunning surroundings, created an atmosphere that was both exhilarating and motivating for our staff.”
“It’s the perfect place for a quick break during the day or to catch a game under the lights in the evening.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
