This section of Crossways Preserve (Cathcart Rd) is a pretty wooded crushed gravel trail. There are mowed grass trails for walking and horse back riding. The trail along Cathcart Rd isn’t long, possibly 1 mile round trip. It’s not a loop just out and back.
There is a bridge and path connecting the preserve and the Wisshickon trail. Look for the bridge in the photo.

Very lovely scenery but a short trail. There are walking and horse trails, so if you're in to exploring, that's an alternative on the way back.
