Confirmed from Crow-Hassan Park Reserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“well marked trails with multiple length segments making it easy to customize your walk.”

I've been on a mission of exploring regional parks around the Twin Cities. Crow-Hassan is high on my list of favorites. I arrived early on a foggy spring morning. I wandered for a couple hours, only seeing a couple others out and about.

Great place for a hike. Trails are ideal for horses (sandy and a little rough in some spots), so wear supportive shoes and look out for the piles. The nice thing about the sand, it doesn't get muddy

Wonderful park for walking. Wide trails... well marked trails with multiple length segments making it easy to customize your walk. Beautiful views of prairie mixed with trails in the woods. It's late October and the trees still look spectacular

★★★★☆ — Julie , Nov 2021

This is an absolutely beautiful park that we take our horses to frequently! There are horse and human trails (no bikes) and there's an off-leash dog park (not fenced in), too. In the summer, the bugs are manageable here versus other parks - perhaps because it's very sandy. It's especially beautiful in the fall!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 18 mentions

“The numerous rolling hills provide plenty of different views of Crow River (from bluffs and down at riverside), prairies, ponds, fields, and the surrounding countryside.”
