Confirmed from Crystal Cove Perimeter Loop's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Crystal Cove Perimeter Loop
Not a place for young kids even for hiking (little to no shade) But a great place for adults! Long Hikes or Bike (mtb or gravel). Depends on whether you like single track or fire roads. Very steep. Gravel some chunky sections, ups and downs across the ridges. Single track is fun and fairly techy.
It’s a great place to to hike the large loop clockwise is about 7 milesa bit tough the trail overlook. The ocean is very beautiful and enjoyable to walk. They’re beautiful scenes. I’m good in bathroom facilities before the hike or after the hike down at the Crystal Grove ocean. Don’t miss Shake shack after long height.
Always a good day out on the trails, especially with it still being so green and lush. If you go far enough u can even see the ocean!! :)
Very nice area to run ,ride bikes or hike thru that area very pleasant views of the area

The practical stuff

- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
