Confirmed from Cumberland Valley Rail-Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Cumberland Valley Rail-Trail
This was a great trail. We road the entire trail. It's paved near the college, gravel most other parts except a paved section closer to Carlisle. The end of trail at the Carlisle end has a pretty cool view of an old farm.
Very nice walking, biking trail. Public restrooms at Ship station. Starts out as a paved, blacktop path at Ship Station and turns into stone in about a mile and a half.
