Great hiking loop with an opportunity to see some great views and native wildlife. Relatively easy and possible for all ages. Very family friendly. Seems to be dog friendly as well. Can be difficult to traverse in the middle of winter due to parts of the trail that get iced over. Muddy as expected in spring.
This is a nice area to walk around for a little while. I was there since I was staying in nearby Amesbury MA for work the night before and after. Technically I don't think I should've been in Maine since I didn't really quarantine.
This trail is NOT dog friendly. I was under the impression that it was so I went with my pup only to have to load back into my car. I investigated the entrance a little and it looks like a nice trail. It is a 1.8 mile loop.
We walked most of the trail on our way to a memorial service nearby. Time was limited so we could not make it all the way out to the end. Part of the trail parallels a wetland which must be a fine place for birders other than at midday on a hot July scorcher.
