We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Fort McClary State Historic Site yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
State historic site in picturesque surrounds known for its colonial-era military history.

This was a pretty cool place! It was just over the border from New Hampshire. Google directions were extremely easy to follow. It was not staffed, but it did have informative signs and you can walk all around. It had fantastic views of the water. They do have an outhouse style bathroom, but no sink or soap.

A nice piece of history. Great views and a quick trail to walk. We saw a few taking advantage of a nice day to eat lunch while enjoying the views. This is a small but enjoyable experience. While experiencing the Fort, the views across the water include some small islands and lighthouses.
I had a really lovely time exploring this site; the setting is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a quiet afternoon. Walking around the old fort and taking in the coastal views was incredibly peaceful.
