Confirmed from Dam No. 1 Woods East's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural area featuring wooded walking trails, open spaces & local wildlife.
What runners say about Dam No. 1 Woods East
“It was clean, well cared for, and had a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived.”
“Plenty of deer sightings and a peaceful walk through the woods.”
Pick up the trail at the very end of the road. I went on a rainy Sunday morning and it was beautiful. Plenty of deer sightings and a peaceful walk through the woods.
Large picnic areas, pretty trail. Wouldn’t recommend coming here alone as a female, multiple cars with strange men hanging around everywhere. Definitely come with a partner and be aware of surroundings.
Nice place, seems designed mainly to give access to the grass and river, rather than the walking trail. If you're looking for a place to walk, drive all the way to the end (past a zillion little parking lots) and pick up the trail there.
love this place could be cut the grass was really long but still a good place to picnic, walk around and get some sun!
