We visited the park to check out a Miyawaki pocket forest (see photo) planted Sept. 2021. That was about eight months ago and it doesn't look like much yet, but it was interesting to see the diversity and density of plants.
Great places for a walk and plenty of fields for all sorts of games (soccer, baseball, frisbee, etc) and a good track for running, dog park, and playground with water fountains. Good and free parking on both entrances.
I was there Opening Day for Danehy Park & it’s been a Green Oasis in the middle of a city. Multiple soccer, softball, baseball, football & even a turf football field at the top of the park.
