Lovely park with cross-crossing trails, some uphill, and a pond. Plenty of benches and lounge chairs at the main entrance side. Several wide open areas, a playground, and all around beautifully maintained grounds.
What an incredible park! Decatur is really setting the standard for what community spaces should look like. Every neighborhood deserves a park like this—open, welcoming, and full of possibilities.
This is turning into a fantastic community asset. We love taking our dogs and the city has started having more events. It's a particularly good walk for reactive dogs since you can usually get lots of space from other people and dogs.
I recently had the opportunity to spend time at Decatur Legacy Park and it was such a beautiful, welcoming experience for the whole community. One of the highlights is the inclusive playground, which is thoughtfully designed so children of all abilities can play together.
