Confirmed from Delagoon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakeside park featuring picnic grounds, camping and RV spots, plus fishing.
What runners say about Delagoon Park
“Love the trail by the lake quiet and beautiful scenery!”
“But it is peaceful and quiet with a nice lake view at our site.”
This is a great county park on the outskirts of Fergus Falls MN. It has about 24 sites. Half are RV sites. Of those 6 can hold an RV 35-50 ft. It has walking distance to put in a small boat. It is right on the Lakes Bicycle Trail going to St. Cloud.
Right on Pebble Lake. Nice view. No reservations taken all camp sites are first come, first serve. Sites are level most with mature shade trees. They have water (very rusty) and electricity at each site but no sewer. But it is peaceful and quiet with a nice lake view at our site. You do have to drive to the swim beach.
The mixture of city convenience with country beauty is what makes Fergus Falls a great place to live, and that mixture is showcased in Delagoon Park. I picked up coffee from Caribou on the West side of town, and within ten minutes I was sitting by the lake under a covered picnic awning enjoying the cool breeze.
Great place to watch a ball game, play at the park, go fir a walk and/or picnic! They also gave camping available and lake access, but we didn’t take advantage of those things yet, but plan to come back.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
