Confirmed from Delaware Canal Morrisville Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful trail along the Delaware River with views of fish, birds, turtles and deer.
What runners say about Delaware Canal Morrisville Trailhead
“It's scenic (right on the Delaware River), and you get to see a variety of wildlife (all kinds of birds, turtles, snakes, and even the occasional jumping fish).”
I usually park down the street on the left in the gravel parking spots. I almost always fish at this location as it produces some decent sized fish when the time is right. Definitely watch out for bikers if you plan on walking or fishing. Lots of wild life including turtles, geese, ducks, deer and birds.
Lovely views. Just have a jacket with you, it's on the windy side on the trail.
The towhead here works as an entry point to the canal path, also the bridge to bridge health walk. It’s a nice place for birdwatching, and reminiscing on the waters of the Delaware.
I love a good walk, and the Canal trails on the Delaware provide one. It's scenic (right on the Delaware River), and you get to see a variety of wildlife (all kinds of birds, turtles, snakes, and even the occasional jumping fish).
