Confirmed from Cadwalader Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Expansive, serene park showcasing grassy lawns, winding paths, trees & other features.
What runners say about Cadwalader Park
“All was clean and we were assisted by a very nice Park Security Guard named Henry.”
“Beautiful grounds and the mansion is a museum which is wonderful and the park is so nice and in the middle of Trenton!”
“The moment I step onto its winding paths, the urban buzz fades, replaced by birdsong, rustling leaves, and the kind of quiet that feels like a deep breath.”
Another pretty Olmsted park in NJ. A lot of history and plenty of trails!
I was simply delighted with Cadwallader Park when I visited last week with my two grandchildren! I happily showed the grandkids where the bear cage, and monkey house, and small zoo used to be when I was their age many years before.
Cadwalader Park is my go-to refuge when the city noise gets too loud and life feels too fast. Nestled in the northwest corner of Trenton, it offers a gentle escape into nature's embrace.
Great place to walk, eat out on the bench, park for kids... Wonderful trees and scenery.
