Walked the new Katy trail in Denison on 4/2/2022. This is a work in progress but about 1 mile of this concrete path is completed. The entrance is at Waterloo Lake and Lang Avenue. There's a dog park next to the trail with parking just north of that, only a few hundred yards to the trail.
Nice paved 12 foot walking path that spans a approximately one mile along a section of the old Katy Railroad. There are several covered benches for resting with water fountains as well as bicycle repair stations along the path.
Beautiful little park. This trail is probably a mile no benches but very pretty area. Up hill, train decor is fun.
I just road my trike on the new Katy Trail. Excellent paved trail. I cannot wait until more of it gets finished. It will be great to ride from Denison to Sherman.
