Confirmed from Desert Hot Springs Loop entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area with an easy trail that features spring wildflowers and a view at the top.
What runners say about Desert Hot Springs Loop entrance
“This hiking trail is short but also challenging very good close by trail also great view recommend going early morning”
Trail is definitely a Mountain trail. Gravity may have you running back to the trail head! There is a DIY bench up on the mountain for you about a mile up the trail.
Great hike, not to long. good view of the beginnings of the desert. Good panaramic view of Jacinto mountain. Straight hike up and straight down. Great self challenge to top.
Great hike! Followed the trail heading left (north) from the parking lot. The route I took was not a loop. Up and back was 6km/3.8mi, elevation gained was 465m 1525 feet, highest point was about 820m. Lots of spring flowers along the trail. Some minor over growth and runoff damage on the upper half of the trail.
Great view of the sunset. I think it might have been easier to get to the trail from Smokewood Circle than from the location we found on Maps.
