Confirmed from Warren Peak Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Warren Peak Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (18 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“Very good road for hiking , In 50-minutes you can climb to the top and see the entire desert at a glance a very beautiful view , Try to get out in the morning is very hot.”

In spite of the fact that this is also a six-mile, 1,100-foot elevation gain trail just like the Hollywood Sign trail, Warren Peak did not have the elevation gain gradually. The gain occurred all at once, toward the end of the hike.

This was a beautiful hike. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting our living in the area. It's 5k feet high, which as you can imagine, is a 'leg day' challenge on the way up and a fun, skipping, faster downhill walk down (after the more cautious 'peak' is over).

Came in January and it gets a bit breezy and cool along the ridge line, definitely not a bad idea to bring a jacket or sweatshirt, even if it's 60s/70s and sunny at the…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
