Confirmed from Desert Rose Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Desert Rose Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (201 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Nice place for my 15 year old to play basketball even lit up at night, has a volleyball net and it's clean and well kept.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Kids play ground, Volleyball, Basketball, lots of room for soccer/football/softball/walking/running, plenty of shade.”

I enjoyed using the pull-up and dip bars that this park had to offer in their fitness area. The park is small, but it offers just about anything someone of any age or fitness level might want. At the very least, it is a call setting with a small trail around the perimeter for walking.

★★★★★ — Chris , Jan 2026

As a basketball player, I really enjoy the bball court and calisthenics workout area. I’ve also used the sand volleyball court for speed and agility work. There is a nice walking/running path around the park. Overall an enjoyable place to get a good outdoor workout in.

It's a good place to spend some time. I live near by and DRP is always nice getaway. Kids play ground, Volleyball, Basketball, lots of room for soccer/football/softball/walking/running, plenty of shade.

★★★★★ — Steven , Jul 2016

it's perfect for dog walking. I want mine twice a day there and it's very convenient because it's right next door to the apartment complex that I live in.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
