Confirmed from Devou Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Massive park with an amphitheater, a golf course, a lake & a museum, plus sports fields & trails.
What runners say about Devou Park
“Really great and well maintained mountain bike trails, tons of options for beginners, and lots of fun trails and jumps for those who are more experience!”
“Fun park with a lot going on, the museum was a highlight but the grounds were well maintained and offered some beautiful views.”
“Great little spots out of way to catch some lunch under a shade tree, then go checkout the awesome views of Cincinnati from the overlook.”
“As an acoustic guitar player, Devou Park is the perfect quiet and peaceful place for me bcz the only sounds I hear are the birds and my guitar.”
Devou Park is a hidden gem! This park offers stunning panoramic views of Cincinnati and the Ohio River. The hiking trails are well-maintained, and the picnic areas are perfect for a relaxing day out. The park's natural beauty, including the Drees Pavilion, adds to the charm.
Montague / Sleepy Hollow Trail. Location is right off Montague Road on the west side of Devou Park. Excellent running trail. Get over a 5k if you do the loop. The first .7 miles are rocky and also climb elevation quickly. If the trail is wet , watch for slick conditions. You also have rocks and roots to contend with.
Devou park is one of my favorite parks in Northern Kentucky . It provides both paved path and backcountry trails. The scenic overlook to Cincinnati downtown and Ohio River is amazing. There’re picnic spots that you can bring food to eat and look at the beautiful view.
PROS ➕ Great overlook area ➕ Extensive trail systems ➕ Large parking lots ➕ Amenities CONS ➖ None Date visited: 05/27/2025 I thought Memorial Day was perfect for seeing the park, so I went to Devou Park. I had heard about its epic overlook of downtown Cincinnati. The crowd ruined it for me. I went again the next day.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
