Confirmed from Dicken Woods Nature Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Dicken Woods Nature Area
“Dickens Woods is a beautiful place with native plants!”
This is a nice little park. It's kept up pretty well and it's a nice escape from the city. When everything is in full growth, you can't see the road or surrounding buildings. It also has some interesting (marked) native plants and the trails run out to Dicken School, Maple Road and a nearby neighborhood.
Dickens Woods is a beautiful place with native plants! This area is maintained by volunteers who are devoted to keeping the trails in good condition while planting native trees and flowers throughout. Come visit sometime!
Wonderful array of birds and plants. The Friends of Dicken Woods meet most Sundays at either 9 or 10 am. We plant wildflowers, cut overhanging branches on trails and generally tidy it up.
It's a nice peaceful place to hangout and relax, take a walk or ride your bike with the family. It's just beautiful.
Trail conditions & character
