Confirmed from Donkey Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green space offering a salmon-bearing stream & viewing platforms, plus benches, restrooms & a trail.
What runners say about Donkey Creek Park
“Beautiful place to communicate with Nature at it’s best.”
This one is a tiny little park located in DT Gig Harbor. The walking trail is small and is a perfect little outing for families with little kids. The trails snake around the Creek. This place is in close proximity to a bunch of restaurants. Do visit if you are in this area.
Looking for a place to watch Salmon this is a great place to take kids. Also great for picnics, yoga, fall photos, or just a place to let the Littles run and get there engery out.
I really love this little Pocket Park! I go to play Pokémon Go, and there is so much to do here. I love the little shaded corner, and the stream running through.
I can recommend this park as a good rendezvous place if you're meeting up with some people especially during a weekend festival. You will notice how incredibly busy this row of Marinas are...
Trail conditions & character
“Entrance to that path is just beyond the restrooms where there are some helpful large maps fixed on the side of the building.”
“except when you get to this part it's not as busy and it was easy to find parking and to walk out to the water where you will find picnic tables and a totem pole.”
“We did not take the trail, but suspect coming back uphill with loose gravel could have been a challenge for someone not totally stable on their feet.”
