Confirmed from Dorotea Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (129 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

“Safe, clean, friendly, nice bathroom too but bathroom isn't open during the day anymore which is kind of weird.”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Beautifully kept, lost of green grass and shade trees.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Even on the weekend when other parks can be really full of people and noisy this one was very quiet.”

Nice, clean and plenty of shade. Great place to play baseball, basketball and tennis. Great place for walks and have a barbeque and gather with friends and family

★★★★★ — Sonia , Aug 2021

Wonderful park to walk around in with numerous Redwoods. Exercising stations throughout the walking path. Just one of many wonderful public parks in Rohnert Park, Ca.

★★★★★ — Steven , Jun 2018

Update: it took them awhile but they put in two swings! The bathroom is kept up well. The tennis courts have lights. Also, they put in a water bottle filling station. It was a great park. When the city remodled the play ground they upgraded the toddler portion and overly simplified the bigger kid area.

This was a stop we were passing on our way north from palm springs to stretch my kiddos feet and for me to care for our newborn. It was great! Had a loop walking trail with fitness spots and two separate playgrounds and a clean bathroom. There was plenty of shade and benches to rest too.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“Tennis courts, baseball diamond, new playground, workout stations, redwoods, a meadow, bathrooms 🚻 (although they're NEVER open.”
