Confirmed from Downers Grove Fury's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Downers Grove Fury
Good shade under the trees to enjoy a Summer walk. It's near the tracks so the boys enjoy the occasional train and there's also a baseball field, park and basketball court. There's a main trail and smaller sometime narrow trails as well.
Well now I know what Google maps calls the woods behind Gilbert Park. Very nice place to walk the dogs.
Back in the hills behind the fields are many bunches of wild ramps. Pick from the center of the cluster, only a few per each plant so colonies remain healthy and fruitful. Early April and May, leave to seed when the flowers set.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
