Drexel Park is such an amazing park near Valdosta State University. There are so many different types of trees which also attract a good diversity of birds. A babbling stream separates the park in two with a nice walking bridge in the middle of the park to cross sides.
It's cute. Only 1/4 of the park has a trail so if you're looking to get in your steps for the day you'll be walking in small circles near the playgrounds. Great if you have kids- the playgrounds were big and very clean.
Awesome park next to Valdosta State. Lots of shade, a river run through it and some Awesome owls.
It's a very peaceful park evetytime I walk by, however I choose to hang out there and the swings are always full. I like the location too and the fact that it had festivals when I first got to Valdosta! I hope it has more festivals! I love those!
