Confirmed from Dry Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational space featuring picnic areas, a kids' playground, and trails for biking, walking, and frisbee golf.
What runners say about Dry Creek Trail
“Mornings tend to be busy we prefer the afternoon for a good bike ride with great views of a sunset in the distance.”
“Lots of good shade spots to enjoy and beautiful scenery for being in the middle of town.”
This has always been a place for me to feel like I’m not in town.. It’s a breath of fresh air. Everyone that comes here are from different backgrounds, yet we all know that the creek is a safe space for everyone to just be.
Visited this trail for the first time and took my inline skates out. It was a lovely ride, not too busy but plenty of people out. Lots of good shade spots to enjoy and beautiful scenery for being in the middle of town. Definitely going to be back to skate here more!
Beautiful park and trail. I walk it daily. Typically pretty clean. You see the park rangers come through occasionally, it could definitely use more patrols. Other than the occasional tweaker, it's pretty chill. After dark it's probably best to walk in pairs, with a dog, or in a group, and bring a Flashlight.
Love going down the trails on the my mountain bikes. And met Reese the man that started the disc Frisbee golf.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
