Love walking my dog out there & letting her run around. Its close to home. Only wish we could go down to the water too but it's all fenced in. Lots of ducks, geese & other birds, also frogs, lizards & snakes. Even coyotes, that usually just come out in the evenings/night.
The hiking trail is a well maintained, wide, gravel road on top of a levee overlooking a wildlife area in which there are ponds, trees, & wetlands. I saw 37 Mallard ducks, two Meadowlark’s, and two black Phoebe’s on my hike in late March.
Great place to walk/run with the dog. We'll worth the 15 min drive for me. We go all the time.
