Confirmed from Dufield Pond Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Shady natural area with a 0.75-mile hiking trail, plus a pond and fishing spots.

The South side of the park has a great .75 mile hiking trail. The North side has a shallow fishing pond. Catch and release is recommended. Bass Bluegill, catfish, and carp can be caught here. Bird watching is good when it's not crowded. Located just outside Woodstock IL.
Came here in search of a geocache from McHenry County’s Cache Your Way series. This one was placed back in 2023. It was a beautiful summer day, and perfect for walking the trail along the water. Trail was well-maintained mowed grass. Lots of benches set aside the water for sitting or fishing.
Beautiful, nice place to take a short hike, lovely pond. Relaxing, benches to sit on, restrooms, Great places for family photos
