Confirmed from Dunlap Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Dunlap Sanctuary
“Beautiful place to take a walk and see all kinds of birds in nature”
We really like going here when we go strawberry/blueberry/apple picking in the area. The little trail loop (a mile? Maybe a little more) goes through an area with lots of blueberries, chokeberries and mushrooms at the right seasons, and past a beaver dam that separates two lakes (with a two foot drop in water level)…
My friend and I really enjoyed the place! I would suggest keeping a close eye on your dogs because they might try to bite turtles that are crossing the trails.
Less than 1/6 of a mile hike that leads to a little out cove. Worth it for a short break, not a true hike in my opinion it's just a small boyscout trail. Great for little kids or to stop at on your way home.
What a wonderful walk. About two miles and beautiful. Saw so many interesting plants. Easy walking with informational boards and several benches.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
